Kelpie monitors your Amazon seller account and sends you a weekly brief and alerts. This page explains what data we access, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it deliberately plain.
Who we are
Kelpie ("we", "us") is an Amazon seller monitoring and reporting service operated from the NSW Central Coast, Australia. You can reach us any time at [email protected].
The information we access and collect
- Your Amazon account data (read-only). With your authorisation, we connect through Amazon's official Selling Partner API using read-only access. We read only the data needed to produce your reports and alerts — for example listing details, Buy Box status, reviews, orders and inventory metrics. We never receive or ask for your Amazon password.
- Details you give us. If you email us or book a call, we keep your contact details and the contents of that correspondence so we can reply and support you.
- Basic, privacy-friendly site analytics. We may use aggregate, cookie-free analytics to understand how this website is used (for example page views and country). This does not identify you individually.
How we use your information
- To generate your Monday Brief, listing audits, and Buy Box, review and stock alerts.
- To deliver those reports to your inbox or Slack.
- To provide support and respond to your enquiries.
- To operate, maintain and improve the service.
What we never do
- We never post, change, list, price or buy anything on your Amazon account.
- We never sell your data.
- We never share your data with third parties for their own marketing.
- We never ask for your Amazon password.
Storage and security
We store only what's needed to run the service. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is limited to authorised people. We use reputable infrastructure providers to host the service and deliver reports.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data only for as long as you use Kelpie. You can ask us to delete your data at any time — including when you stop using the service — by emailing [email protected]. We'll also disconnect our read-only access to your Amazon account on request.
Service providers
To run Kelpie we rely on a small number of trusted providers, including Amazon (Selling Partner API), our hosting and email infrastructure, and messaging tools such as Slack where you choose to receive alerts there. These providers process data only to help us deliver the service.
Cookies
This marketing website uses no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Any analytics we use is aggregate and cookie-free.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to withdraw your authorisation at any time. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles, and we'll respond to requests from anywhere we operate. To make a request, email [email protected].
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. For material changes we'll let active customers know.
